We enjoyed our stay at World Resort and appreciated the excellent service provided by all staff there, We particularly enjoyed the Restaurant and the quality of food provided. When our hot shower ceased to function the management installed a new unit. However, because there appeared to be some fluctuation both in water pressure and voltage, this new unit never worked correctly until we left. We found that World Resort was homely. However is due for refurbishment and some repair in some areas. Particularly needs a coat of paint. But on the whole we enjoyed our stay.

We travelled from Vancouver, Canada with our two kids aged 7 and 5 in March 2012 and our stay at World Resort was an excellent experience! Our bungalow was roomy and the grounds were lush and beautiful. We stayed closer to the pool and it was still only about a 30 second walk to the beach. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We had minor problems with our shower and air conditioner on the first day so we phoned to have it addressed. Both problems were rectified within 20 minutes- it was hard to expect better service than that. We found the restaurant at the resort to be very good. Despite the numerous other options up and down Bo Phut beach, we found ourselves staying at their restaurant; it was hard to beat the quality of food and for very reasonable prices! The pool area was very nice and kid-friendly as well. In our minds the best attribute of World Resort was the gorgeous beach! Bo Phut is simply lovely. The waters are calm and warm. The beach was quiet so you could relax and soak up the sun- and meals, drinks and massages are just steps away. World Resort was fabulous and we d recommend it to anybody!

Family owned resort in a fantastic tropical garden. Bungalows are a bit old but well kept and clean. Staff are really great. The restaurant is great with reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

The hotel is perfect, nevertheless it is a 3 star hotel. It is a quite place for people who don t like noisy public. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast and other food are delicious. I recommend to reserve bugaloes only. Standard rooms are not so good.

Vi hade bokat standard bungalow men blev mycket besvikna. Den var liten och mörk med äckligt badrum. Efter att vi talat med den trevliga personalen fick vi byta till först ett hotellrum som var vldigt fint för att dagen efter få byta till en större bungalow som var betydligt bättre. ligger vid stranden och har en bra pool för både stora och små med poolbar och spa hus brevid. Jättebra frukostbuffé med kanon service.

Great family resort Stayed 5 nights with wife and twins of 5 years, and loved it. Our booked room was not available at arrival, but we got upgraded to the very nice honeymoon bungalow for the last 4 nights of our stay. Good restaurant, both for breakfast and other meals, and throughout our stay service was perfect, never pushy but always available. This part of Bophut is quiet, and bathing may be difficult on the beach for small children, as the water quickly gets deep, but in the well kept garden you will find two small pools that are perfect for small children, and the third, larger pool is good for all ages. Seaview rooms are more expensive, but at least the one we stayed in is well worth the price. Bungalows in the pool area are substantially cheaper, and offer good value for money.

First thing to say is that I liked World Resort. I ve been to Thailand many many times since the late 80 s and the general trend towards exclusive Boutique resorts that charge the earth is not to my taste. World Resort has most of the amenities you need but it retains an authenticity. We chose this place as we have a toddler and it is both safe and welcoming for children. Key plus points: Restaurant good, excellent breakfast, great massage by the pool, 24hour Family Mart + Good Pharmacy + Motorcycle/Jeep hire within 100 metres, friendly staff and nicely appointed rooms. We used the place as a base for a couple of days when we landed, then returned there for a couple of nights before flying back from Samui. We booked a Deluxe room near the restaurant but on our return from Ko Tao the Deluxe Bungalow was double booked so they upgraded us to the best sea front Bungalow... nice! I ve never seen a shower room that fabulous before!! Location is pretty good unless you crave noisy nightlife. It is close enough to the Fisherman s village for the tourist food frenzy that is Friday night. Only real downside to the place is the narrow beach... suggest you hire a motorcycle and checkout the many good free beaches around the island

The staff here were friendly and helpful. I traveled with a 19 month old and they couldn t do enough to help. The location is at the end of the beach, so a little quieter than other places in Bophut. It has a laid back feel to it. The pool is great, although a little too much chlorine and that Thai massage on the beach is the best I have ever had. Its extremely reasonable and the food is top notch.

My return to World Resort was all too short - just a mini-break of 3 days - Absolutely did not want to leave.. It is a beautiful spot with lovely staff who were so happy to see me return.. I feel like part of the extended family now and will be back again. If you are after a relaxing, chilled holiday in a beautiful, warm and welcoming part of Samui this is a wonderful choice. The food for breakfast and the menu overall offers great choices and wonderful flavors. The service and attention to your needs and desires is excellent. It s great value and just a short drive (5 - 10 mins) in to the more active Chaweng.

Wonderful hotel! The affable personnel, many green trees and another plants in territory. Good enough breakfast. Hotel is located on seacoast. We will recommend it to friends for silent and relax rest. Has a little upset one of evenings when in territory of hotel s restaurant the private party has been arranged. We couldn t use restaurant, loud enough music played till 11-00 p.m.. The hotel personnel has warned us a note about a party the day before. But.... If I were they I would put near the note at least a little chocolate as a compliment from hotel

The sea is not good here unfortunately, I guess like at other Bophut resorts. Silt on bottom and you just can t step on it. Feels like swimming in mud. The hotel is good choice if you need value for money.

nice resort quiet beach. wonderful food. at first we got a very simple room (triple family) but after we understood how things worked we asked for a nicer room and got upgraded immediately and compensated with massages and dinners for us and kids. We ate dinner on resort almost every night because turned out to be much better and cheaper compared to other places. and gr8 atmosphere too. manager very friendly and nice. massage-st were awful!!! not professional (i studied thai massage so i really know). didn t make effort and all they cared about was money. i had 2 other massages on the beach and was much better and cheaper. once the lady left me in the middle to see to another customer who arrived 15 minutes after me and passed me on to another lady! she was bad too. ended up getting another massage on the beach the same day (which made me feel much better).and the other time it was really bad. i was hoping to get a chance to get away because was total waste of time and energy. she got a phone call in the office and went to answer! so i ran off and stopped in the middle. i gave a few kilos of laundry without being notified it would cost 15 times more than it costs 3 minutes walk in the laundrate. ended up paying 1200B instead of 1600B they wanted!!! the same amount cost us 200 B elsewhere... appart for this good place. clean friendly homey and good food. next time might go there or to the next bay which was much cleaner (mae-nam)

We stayed there four nights. Of all the places we stayed, this one is by far the most disappointing ... We took a standard room to enjoy the services of a resort without paying the high price, but No service. A pseudo spa, people just did massage by the pool, great for people who want to enjoy a relaxing massage, they hear the children scream and dive right in front of them ... The bathroom was never cleaned, and unbearable smell awful when we arrived and the smell of dirty never went away ... The restaurant is horrible, very poor quality of the food for very high prices! Fortunately there is a small thaï restaurant not too far which is delicious. in front of the hotel at 50m, there is a gentleman who is a very honest taxi driver, his wife offers a laundry service by the kilo, very clean and perfect.

Loved it, Great place, amazing value for the price, had friends staying at places near by and many commented on the room etc. The resturant on the beach was the usual dining place for all of us due to quality of food, cocktails and friendliness and quality of staff. One night had 18 people eating, drinking moving seats and got seperate bills for all 18 and they got it dead right first go, UNHEARD OF. Nice and quiet on the beach but still close enough to things. I m coming back.

This resort was really good place to stay with the kids. Althoug the resort is next to the beach it s totally isolated from it s buzz. Very calm and relaxed place. The swimming pool was right behind our family bungalow! Our kids loved it!!! The pool bar was nice and the staff was friendly and helpfull. The beach restaurant had good food and delicious desserts!I really liked their buffee breakfast!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, We were with the services of the World Resort very happy, the hotel crew is very concerned about the holiday as pleasant as possible gestalten.Die plant itself is very well maintained, that room service, cleaning, etc. to the perfect satisfaction, a breakfast buffet enough, the coffee excellent . A major drawback is the beach - this is depending on the flow of the sea very often heavily contaminated, foaming water, refuse is deposited, so a swim in the sea is not possible, has bzw.man fear of a disease bekommen.Die Hotel Crew tries again to clean the stand immediately, but it does not really help. This is a great disappointment for the world resort! The pool is fine. For this reason we have left sooner and have searched other ewas. For those of us who come from Europe, a clean sea is a basic requirement for a pleasant holiday, as these concepts were not possible, we will not book anymore Wordl Resort.

We were traveling with six children, so we needed something that was a) affordable; and b) kid-friendly. World Resort was ideal! The location was perfect for us - right on the beach, with a nice swimming pool, at the quiet end of Bophut Beach, but only about a 20-minute walk from shopping and restaurants in Fisheman s Village. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff! The rooms were simple, and the bathrooms were even spartan, but everything was clean and comfortable, and the grounds were beautiful. I researched many hotels and resorts on Koh Samui; World Resort offered the best value for what we wanted, and we were completely satisfied with what we got. If we make it back to Koh Samui, we ll stay at World Resort again!!

We had two weeks on World Resort, which we found wery nice and pleasing. A small mixup concerning reservation but they reactet promt and rectified the situation immideately. The place is wery lush and green but a bit worn. It is cosy thoug. The employees are very nice and smiling and quick to react. The restaurant is good but a bit ekspensive. We left Koh phangan after two weeks to spend 4 days on Samui. Stupid move. If phangan is the calm and beautiful Samui is the abolute opposite. We just wanted the four days to pass so we could go to Bangkok. The beach was a real disapointment with mud or clay instead of sand and millions of beachvendors. World resort staff was great and the bungalow was great on the inside. On the otside we had av BIG flyproblem. We actually couldnt sit outside the bungalow. The staff tried to fix it but.... The restaurant is overpriced and makes thaifood for farangs. Never interesting or spicy. But the options around was nearly as uninteresting. The pool was ok for the kids but its small and looks a bit Russia grey boring. So to conclude...the staff and the bungalow was very good. The rest you can skip. Go to Koh phangan instead.

Can t say enough great things about World Resorts!! We were upgraded to adjoining Garden View Suites. this was great since there were 6 of us and we all got to stay close together. The service staff were extremely helpful from arranging a car and driver to info about where to go. We hate crowded places and they recommended some great snorkel sights. (Koh Tan and Midsum.) the breakfast buffet was perfect and the beach was nice except for no waves. We re from San Diego and like playing in the waves.

A really nice family resort. We got upgraded which was a nice bonus to a pool room. It is separated from the actual pool by a wall and balinese type doorway, so you don t get any noise. The rooms are very tastefully furnished and have some nice touches, like a tap outside to wash sand off your feet. The pool is lovely, not your usual blue type, but concrete form, which gives it a very Balinese feel. The breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, hot, cold, noodles, cereal, toast etc. The whole place has a nice relaxed feel about it and the staff are very friendly. The beach is pleasant although not the best on Samui as the ground is a little slimy as you walk into the sea, but still swimmable. The only thing against for us was the fact that World Resort like many resorts in Bophut is quite a distance from Fisherman s Village where most of the (expensive) restaurants are and a shuttle would have been appreciated as we have small children. We did walk along the beach a couple of times in the evening, but our youngest of 4 found it a bit much. Taxi s were quite expensive, one tried to charge us 400B for the journey. Other than that I would recommend World Resort highly.

Мы отдыхали на Самуи в отеле в World Resort с 10 по 24 июня 2010 г. Брали бунгало с видом на море. Очень понравилось. Персонал отеля очень отзывчивый, вежливый и дружелюбный. Нас встретили в аэропорту, а потом, когда мы улетали домой, отвезли бесплатно в аэропорт. Завтраки вкусные и достаточно разнообразные, особенно меня устроило то, что каждый день были мюсли, молоко, йогрут и фрукты, но можно было и более плотно покушать (сосики, бекон, рис, лапша, вареные и жареные яйца, омлеты с начинками, овощи гриль и свежие, суп, тосты, оладьи и т.д.) В бунгало чисто и уютно. Уборка и свежие полотенца каждый день. Пляжные полотенца тоже можно было менять каждый день.

An oasis of quiet away from the bustle of the rest of the island, World Resort is at the quieter end of Bophut beach, but near enough to restaurants and bars along the sand and public transport just outside the hotel. Excellent and well equipped, comfortable accommodation set in lush suroundings with first class friendly and helpful staff all go to make this the perfect setting for a holiday. The restaurant is slightly more pricey than those outside, but the food is first class - and the breakfasts are fantastic. Good pool and sandy beach. Tansfers to and from the ferry and airport are arranged effortlessly and invariably on time. All in all, a fabulous place to stay!

fantastic location with lots of cozy restaurants and bars nearby. Bophut is quite quiet in comparison to Chaweng, but a really nice place for couples and families. The hotel is probably the nicest one in Bophut if you are looking for good location, excellent service and value for money. The staff was helpful in any way possible! We really enjoyed the restaurant with its view on the beach. Also recommended: massage at the pool/beach! Would come back any time!!
