Stayed here 7 years ago and now again. The location is great since it s in central Chewang but at the same time you don t hear the noise from the beach parties a few hotels away. The room was clean and service was overall good, but it can do with a bit of updating for the asking price.

We had a fantastic time staying here it was our second time at Montien House. The staff are great we love Tom and Noi they are so friendly and the cleaners are lovely! Great food excellent location for the price couldn t ask for better. We Will be back!!

Back in this hotel after 10 years. Still the same friendly staff, can t beat the location. Right on the beach, great restaurant & best cocktails around. They now also have a beach front pool. Rooms to suit all budgets.

Very good location, next to the beach, which is busy but still in good condition. Pool right besides the beach, small for good for the money. Also near the main street, but not noisy. Like the tropical garden very much. Service is good, room in good condition. Recommended.

I would like to say that my stay at the Montein was excellant. They were a few mosquitoes the first night but didn t see an after that and did not get ite. The location is excellant and staff helpful. It is not a five star hotel but defintly worth the price you pay. Breakfast was good with fruits and vegtable available everyday as well as different Thai foods, eggs meats ad ceral. Beach is OK but you need to walk to the right to swimm

Very happy with the staff at Montien House in Koh Samui and location is very central.Breakfast was good, the room was spacious and surrounding gardens were pleasant. Enjoyed sitting out in the balcony area. Only downside, is that the in-road leading into the resort does flood when it rains heavily but you are able to wade through the water quite easily.

My second stay at Montien House. This place is great value for money. The property is a little run down, could do with a coat of paint. They are renovating the resturant reception area at the moment. I was in a deluxe room, very clean and very quiet at night. The staff and management were great, very friendly and very accomodating. My TV broke half way throufgh my stay. Within a half hour they replaced the TV,no problem. For the single travelor, its comfortable, safe and very relaxing. I will be back again.

This is the second time i stay at Montien House, typical Thai location for those who want a real Thai experience. Nice location but avoid spending money on the Suite Building, it is just a waste. The one we got was on the main path, ground floor, so we never ever had the possibility to keep the windows open for sun light(it seemed to be like a prison.... not good). No door to close the bathroom, quite embarassing sometimes... Not to recommend. Just choose one of the villas (they are beautiful) or a normal bedroom, cheaper but anyway ok. In general, hotel ok (suggested) but room definitely not good.

We came to Montien for the 2nd time and felt like at home. We stayed at the same room ( 213) and it seemed that it was renovated a little bit. The breakfast was as good as two years ago, maybe it only lacked yogurt this time. We really like the territory of the hotel - a lot of trees, very green. Unfortunately, we stayed when the flooding occurred but it did not prevent us from spending nice time at Montien. at its restaurants in the evenings with the live music. I saw some tourist who were here two years ago and it means that they come back to Montien again and again. The location is perfect. See you in a couple of years!

Bungalows are okay. You don t get much other than a good location for the price. Breakfast buffet was limited. Not enough beach chairs available, however the staff was great, always and freindly. Absolutely perfect location in central Chaweng. Direct beach access, great staff, shopping, restaurants etc. Food was good and very reasonably priced. B100 cocktails during happy hour. Be aware that there is no phone in the bedroom (deluxe category). Would definitely stay here again.

Pasamos 4 noches en montien. Lo recomendamos. La situación es genial, a pie de playa y junto a la calle principal de restaurantes, bares, tiendas de chaweng. No se oyen los ruidos. Los bungalows están muy bien: tv, nevera, caja fuerte, baño amplio y muy limpio. Desayuno buffet muy bien. Personal muy atento. Traslado al aeropuerto mas barato que taxis. La única pega que la zona de playa tiene alguna piedrecilla pero está muy bien.

This is a nice resort in a great location. We stayed in the Pool Villa, which was lovely. We had our own private pool so we didn t use the communal pool but it looked very nice and not overcrowded (it was low season). The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was one of the nicest we went to.

:: Superior Rooms ::
Our superior room are equipped with
air-conditioning. All the rooms have bathrooms offering a hot shower as
well as a fridge and satellite TV. The spacious bedroom is well furnished
and is available as a twin or double bed arrangement. An extra bed can be
added for a small charge. All superior room feature a sitting area set in
an outdoor terrace. The rooms are located in the lush gardens of the resort
and are ideal for young couples and those who want essential, yet comfortable
rooms during their holiday.
:: Deluxe Building ::
Our deluxe rooms are situated close to the beach and has it own small terrace
surrounded by plants and flowers, ensuring privacy and discretion. All the
rooms are air conditioned and have bathrooms offering a hot shower with
a bathtub as well as a fridge and satellite TV. The deluxe rooms are furnished
to a very high standard and are available as a twin or double bed arrangement.
An extra bed can be added for a small charge. There are 14 deluxe rooms
on the resort.
:: Suite Building ::
Our suites rooms are housed in a separate building to one side of the
resort. With it own dedicated entrance, the suite rooms offer privacy and
discretion. All the rooms are air conditioned and have bathrooms offering
a hot shower with a bathtub as well as a fridge and satellite TV. The suite
rooms are furnished to a very high standard and quality and are available
as a twin or double bed arrangement. An extra bed can be added for a small
charge.
:: Pool Villa ::
Our pool villas are a new addition to the resort and
offers the ultimate in luxury accommodation. It is a wonderful honeymoon
hideaway for couples and with its own private pool, is private and discreet.
The interior is furnished to a very high standard featuring modern contemporary
Thai influenced furnishing and full air-conditioning as well as a safety
deposit box, fridge, and satellite TV. There is an en suite bathroom, with
a large custom made sunken bath, again, furnished to the highest quality.
It is located a short distance from the beach while all the amenities
and attractions of Chaweng are but a short stroll away.
SERVICES & FACILITIES
The beachside restaurant offers reasonably
priced Thai and western cuisine as well as nightly entertainment. By day,
