Отель понравился, особенно если учесть что останавливались мы в нем под конец нашего путешествия и он оказался дешевле чем в Краби и на Райлее это было очень приятно. Номера брали не самые дешевые, с видом на бассейн, находятся на втором этаже. Очень красивая и ухоженная территория, много зелени и цветов. Все номера окнами выходят на внутреннюю зону отеля и бассейны. Убирали хорошо, много полотенец, нет халатов и тапочек и крема для тела, но есть сланцы выходить к бассейну и освежитель воздуха ))) До моря идти 10 минут прогулочным шагом. Если пройти в сторону Карона можно найти рынок который работает по четвергам и понедельникам...там есть все. По дороге на пляж проходим остановкуавтобусов до Карона и Пхукет-тауна, цена 30 бат. Отличный отель по соотношению цена-качества!!!

It is a bit further from the sea side that I would wish, but swimming pool within the green plans had kept me very happy. I had a room with a personal approach to the pool and I had enjoyed it a lot! We were very impressed and pleased with our time at Kata Palm Resort. We literally felt like we were treated as kings and queens. From check-in to departure, everything was organized and proceeded so smoothly; breakfast buffet was superb. When leaving, I decided not to call a bellhop but to drag my suitcases down by myself. But I had barely opened the door and a bellhop arrived with the luggage carrier and whisked my luggage away to the front door! Rooms were fantastic, price very reasonable, pool so pleasant we almost didn t need to go to the beach (but the beach was very near - 10 minute walk or free hotel transport) Beach was fantastic too with wonderful surf.

Good for kids, especially the pool. Not as close to the beach as it seems, because Club Med blocks access. You need to walk around. About a 10 minute walk in total. Not too bad. Close to lots of good restaurants, but less so for shopping.

Problem with kids. SOme rooms have limitations of guests, so you cannot add a child to a double room. We were charged extra at the hotel. Called Sawadee, but there was no help. Extra costs for children should be checked so they are ALWAYS posted on the site. Overall, should be easier for families.

The hotel overall was good but we had a bad experience with the rude receptionist. The electricity went off in the room, we thought that there might be some problem with our room alone, called the receptionist and reported that there is no electricity in the room, she answered back rudely if the electricity went off, how cud there be electricity in your room , instead of explaining it to the customers that they are experiencing problem etc. The same person also refused to give us the chairs at the beach saying that it was full without bothering to check. If the hotel wants to improve their service, they need to train their staffs the basics on how to speak to customers !

Really nice hotel with a lovely pool area. The kids loved the pool. Good breakfast buffet. The rooms are very spacious, nicely decorated, nice bathroom with tub and shower. Close to the beach, there is also access to the bus that runs every hour to the beach. The hotel also offers a number of free sun loungers on the beach. Good food with fast service at the hotel. Some nights are also offered buffet dinners at a good price. There is also a small gym but the treadmill and exercise bike. Internet is free and available at the reception. Can highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at Kata Palm Resort for 5 days. The location was good, close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel is typical Thai style. The cleaning was good, but the pool area felt a bit old. So we didn t hang around the pool that much. our children thought the water was cold and the pool was pretty small. All the vegation around the pool area made the water filled with leaves and flowers. The breakfast was not good. But over all the hotel was okay, but not worth the high peak season price.

Really disappointed. In this Resort, the minute you step in, you can forget about the typical thai hospitality, smiles adn kindness: here nobody cares about you, nobody smiles, staff does not even say hi to you and you seem to be invisible to them. Unbelievable! We were 12 people of three families together, everyone had really unpleasant time over here. No management at all, the staff is really dragging themselves all day long, even at breakfast you do not get your coffee or tea poured in your cup at the table: if you ask, staff will point at a coffee table go get it yourself!Bar food is really poor, we waited for 1 hour to get food by the pool, the staff is really not motivated as there is NO MANAGEMENT in this place. Not good, pls do not book this Resort AT ALL, not cheap at over 100EUR per night, a real disgrace. There are many other places where you spend much less and staff put their hart in their work.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 days after reading all the great reviews on this site. It was quite nice and well kept, however the housekeeping service won t win awards for diligence. Each day, they failed to replace our complimentary water, as well as glasses an towels. The buffet outside was also closing when we got there, although they weren t supposed to for another couple of hours, so all the food was gone or cold. But it was in a nice location and looked great. My son loved the kids pool. It was nice enough but I probably won t stay there again next time I go to Phuket.

My husband, son and myself just spent 7 wonderful days at the Kata Palm Resort. The staff were extremely friendly, the pools were fantastic and the location is right in the heart of Kata Beach. We highly recommend this resort and Kata Beach is a hub of lovely restaurants and shopping. The beach itself is just gorgeous.

Actually I extended my stay to check out on 8 Nov. The hotel is fine, big enough and good facility, relaxing space. 2 problem is: 1. the 3-side of the bed has extended 6 inches, when in dark, easily kick the feet. 2. the toilet is one step down, not convenienct enough.

The hotel was very good but let down by staff. The room given to us stunk of mould. We complained and was given another room which smelt as well. My daughters room was great. They then cleaned the airconditioner out in our first room and it improved 80% so we moved back to that room but the smell returned. We stayed there and put up with it. The hotels excuse was there was too may guest to maintain airconditioners. This was the quiet time.

We recently stayed in a pool access room for 7 nights. Our room was 139. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a four post king size bed. The room decor was beautiful, red and gold and very Thai. There was a large day bed in the room along with a desk and chair. The spacious balcony had 2 adjustable wooden lounges plus two wooden chairs along with 2 tables. The bathroom had a separate stone bath and separate rain shower.We have stayed in other pool access rooms before and found that the pool was a narrow shallow canal and not leading into a main body of water.However, Kata Palms pool access was very private with the option of swimming to the pool bar and socialising with others. The pool is very tropical with lovely gardens so of course there were just a few mozzies in the evenings, but we burnt mozzie coils which kept them away, no problem. The resort is very clean and staff very friendly and happy and spoke very good english. Breakfast was good with a wide variety. Tour booking office was efficient as was the Bell captain when ordering taxi etc. The fruit carving at the hotel is worth doing, very enjoyable and staff most friendly. There was also free wi fi throughout the resort and 3 computers in reception for use. I would only book pool access rooms 136-140 as these were in the best position and also as the canal did get very shallow in front of the rooms down further than ours. For anyone thinking of booking the ground floor pool view rooms, from what I saw, they had a fish pond in front of the room and steps across it into the other main pool area which is just lovely. There is a great restaurant serving all types of food near the hotel, just turn left when you walk out and it has purple and yellow table clothes. We never had a bad meal there and ended up eating there most meals. If you get sick of curries and stir fries, try the fish and chips - yummy! or their thai salads to die for. I would recommend Kata Palms. It is not on the beach but only a few minutes walk. We did not care for the beach with the pool at our room. If I wanted to be picky, I would say the shower could do with bleach to rid the small amount of mould. Aslo, I was impressed with the non-smoking in the breakfast room - thank goodness Thailand is starting to put in place non smoking rules in eating areas - comming from Australia where you cant smoke in a public place where food is being served or in a shopping centre we found this to be a great relief. I only wish it was non smoking around the pool bar. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The doublebed in our deluxe pool view room was too hard so we had trouble sleeping and our bodies were hurting allover!TV was small, old and not working properly,it turned off and on and had a beeping sound amongst other problems. The room was big and nicely located in the hotel and the pool was ok but smaller than expected. Cleaning was good, but breakfast was a little disapointing as well as the hygienic factor at brakfast. Personal was nice and friendly though and did their best to help us when our son got sick for several days. Nevertheless we think that Kata Palm only is a 3 star hotell in total!!!

We stayed at the resort for 3 nights from 14-17 Jul 2010. The rooms were spacious and the view from the room balcony was beautiful with a mountain view and lots of greenery. Our rooms were on the highest floor at the 4th level. We were not told whether there was a lift to the top floor but since we were still fit enough to climb the stairs, we did not bother to ask. However, if we were 10 years older(most of us are in our 50 s), I reckon it would be a problem. Although the rooms were generally clean, the toilet was not. The toilet seat was stained (maybe by some corrosive detergent) and the shower screen was mouldy and smelly. Surrounding the resort, are some nice shops and restaurants. In fact, we felt that staying at Kata Beach is better compared to say, Patong Beach, as it was less crowded, less sleazy and it offered better dining options. Kata Beach was beautiful, the waves were mesmerizing although it was not a good time to go swimming as it was the monsoon season. Overall, we enjoyed our trip to Phuket, especially the day trip to Phangnga Bay which offered some of Phuket s most beautiful natural scenery.

Very nice resort in good location. Deluxe pool view was a big room, perfect for 3 person because the big sofa with curtain. Also spacious bathroom with bath tube. Very big pools in a beautiful garden. Good breakfast. Just the free wireless internet in the room is poor, can use only early in the morning or late in the evening really. So value for money!

We had stayed there for 10 days and without any problems at all. Besides, we got really been taken care of when we first noticed that the room was a bit smelly. Staff came to put air cleaner machine and things got better. We enjoyed everything at the hotel and with great location, was very easy to the beach , restaurants and services. I would come back again next time.

the room are nice with antique Thai style, however with lot of mosquitos.We book a delucxe pool view room but become jungle view room because the trees surrounding the swimming pool are too high. The receptionist are helpful but the breakfast section staff services are too bad especially the chef which cook the eggs with bad attitude. I would definitely not come back to this hotel again.

No problem with hotel - been there before and as good as always. Only problem that I had was from some guests leaving towels on the sunbeds (most of them) at 5/6 in the morning and keeping them for the day regardless of whether they were on them on not - zey know who zey are. I was fortunate to have pool access so it did nt bother me - the practice of it bothers me.

Great resort and fantastic staff and could not fault the room. A great place to stay and had everything there in the resort and nearby. The beach is a few minutes walk away but the resort has a lovely pool and there was no need to venture out. Would absolutely stay there again. The only thing I would have liked to see was the safe in the wardrobe to be moved up to a higher shelf and a light there at it is situated in a very bad lighting area.

The pool access room is excellent,pool is great, my whole family 11 peole(both elderly and children)love the pool so much, most of the time we enjoy ourselves at the pool. The restaurant and pool side cafe served good food, reasonable prices with excellent service. Only the reception ladies not so friendly. The rest of the staff are friendly, always smile. Thanks for the wonderfull memories, we will be back again whenever we visit Kata.

Check in and out were swift, no problem at all. The room rate is low compare to other website. Whenever we have any queries they will reply us through email promptly. Thanks sawadee, i will use sawadee.com again whenever we travel to Thailand.

We had a pleasant stay. The check in was done very smoothly. The staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice. They even had regular fogging cos of the monsoon season. Location wise, it was convenient. The beautiful Kata beach was within walking distance though the hotel provides shuttle service daily. Food and shopping for touristy stuff were easy around the area. For the benefit of muslim travellers, Halal food was not easily available in Kata. We were told for Rawai, Kamala and Phuket town would be a better choice.

there was a really terrible smell of mold from the air conditioner and we were afraid to use it. The only thing the hotel staff did was to spray air freshener in the room. The room was much too warm to not have ac. would not stay here again.
