Nice pool aria, good breakfast, Room ok, I think there are better room in the hotel then we got. Big negativ thing: the staff wasnt very friendl!!!

I usually don´t complain, but this hotel really needs complaining. The location on the beach of Karon is good and so are the pools. But this hotel really needs refurbishing, quit old and the bathrooms small and smelly. Cleaning service bad and the towels and bedsheets are not often changed. They even hang back one towel we had on the floor. When we asked several times for new towels they said finished . And the prices in the hotel restaurants and bars are ENORMOUS. Example, one coktail 245 Bath ++ , which means + 17 % tax. And the hotel has menues in russian rather than in english because of the many russian tourists in the hotel. The last day we got a form to fill in how we liked the hotel, everything in russian. They knew we were Swedish so atleast we could get one in english, but no. The last day they checked the minibar and we had to pay 145 Bath for a bottle of water we had not taken. Would not recommend this hotel.

This hotel is wery old, we hade a upgrade room and the first room we get smelled wery much mould but the next day we get another room and it was much better. It is near the beach, you have only have to pass a road.

A few kilometers South of Patong stands the Thavorn Palm Beach Resort, spread across 25 acres and extending over half a kilometer along the golden sandy beach of Karon, one of Phukets finest natural long beach offering spectacular sunsets. Phuket International Airport is 48 kilometers by road, Phuket Town is 20 kilometers and Patong Beach, where the Islands most popular night life exists is just 8 kilometers away. The resort boasts far-reaching, lush tropical gardens, picturesque Thai sculptures and low-rise buildings. The broad range of facilities on hand includes restaurants, shops, five swimming pools and comprehensive exercise facilities. The gardens are widespread and Orchids bloom all over the resort, furthermore in 2004 Thavorn Palm Beach was named winner of a Green Leaf Award for environmental protection.

ACCOMMODATION

The Palm Beach Resort offers 209 guest rooms that are furnished in Thai traditional style, containing custom teak fittings and furniture lending a relaxed and international resort ambiance throughout and at the same time being surrounded in spectacular blossoming gardens together with a wealth of lily ponds. The guest rooms are split between three buildings called the Blue Orchid, Bird of Paradise and Plumeria Wings and currently house Standard, Deluxe and Suite rooms. Every room in the three connecting low-rise buildings is spacious and has its own balcony overlooking one of the five swimming pools, gardens or Karon Beach.

Quality Thai colonial decor reflects a comfortable and elegant theme that surpasses all expectations. Each room has a spacious private balcony sea facing over Karon Beach.
